Cavers Mailing List     № 3271

Tribute to victims of caving accidents

Автор: G.L. Seymour M.Sc. \(BP\)

Greetings to List Members.

On the web site I edit, I wish to pay tribute to the victims of caving accidents.

Web site URL: http://karst.PlanetResources.net/

If you know of fatal or crippling cave accident in your area, I would be grateful, if you kindly give details: name and age of the victim, date, location (cave), a brief description of the unfortunate event, and your name for publication in the web page.

I would much appreciate it, if you attach to the Russian text an English translation or at least a brief summary. As long as the translation is understandable, I am happy to re-write it to publication quality.

Both Russian and English texts will be published.

Please accept my apologies for writing to a Russian language List in English. It is not meant to be arrogance. English is my third language, and for me it is late to learn a fourth one.

You are also welcome to submit cave monographs, history of cave discovery, karst research papers and news items.

The web site is intended to present a global cross section of cave and karst exploration and research.

Thank you.
