Dear colleague,

UIS delegates and Substitutes:

As you know, the Libyan National Speleology Organization (LNSO) is a young association established two years ago and recently joined the UIS.

I'm writing on behalf of LNSO to you to see if you are interested in having an event in Libya.

The proposed date is May 2024, in Cyrenica (Aljabel Alakhdar) North East Libya, which is a karstic region with various cave types, moreover, the area is very safe.

Therefore, please answer the following survey to show the results to sponsors for the event to reduce the cost of participating in the event.

1. your country.

2. Do you prefer an expedition, a scientific symposium with some cave excursions, or both?

3. Do you intend to participate in this event?

4. Approximately, how many participants from your country do you think will be participants?

5. Do you have in your country any restrictions on visiting Libya?

6. Do you have an idea about Libya and the Libyan caves?

7. Do you need a kind of online meeting to help you make the decision?

NB: Based on your feedback on this simple survey, we will decide if we will host the event in 2024 or postpone it to another year.
