Dear Friends,

I apologize for the delay in sending you the latest NCKRI News. It has been a busy month with many important things happening internationally (see the report on the celebration of the International Year of Caves and Karst at UNESCO Headquarters) and nationally.

With this message, our news messages are changing slightly. NCKRI is looking at ways to improve sending these messages. Some of our messages are rejected from your addresses because of security protocols. We are also having occasional difficulty sending the messages for technical reasons. I am sorry if a few of you are getting this information twice today, in two different formats.

To reduce technical problems in sending and in you receiving the messages, we have been advised to send our usual information as a PDF, which is attached. Previously, we seldom sent messages with attached files because a few of our subscribers have difficulty with them, so we hope the small file size and general improvements in technology will make them easy for everyone to use.
