Dear Partners in the International Year of Caves and Karst,

I am away in the mountains with little Internet access, so this monthly update on the International Year will be short.

The big news is that we have now completed more than 100 successful events for the year! Together we are reaching millions of people around the world and teaching them about caves and karst.

However, I know we actually have completed many more events. As I look at the event announcements, I see many events that were completed 1-4 months ago. We need you to send your event results to the website. It is easy. It is the same as the event announcement except remove “For more information” and replace it with “Event report”. The report can be as simple as a link to recorded lectures, a website, social media, or news reports. It can also be a written report. It does not need to be long but it should say what was presented and who and how many people participated. I hope you will send your reports soon. They are critically important to showing our success and solidarity in the International Year of Caves and Karst.
