Natural and Anthropogenic Hazards in Karst Areas
Автор: Bulat Mavlyudov
Дата: 13 Nov 2007
Приветствую всех!
Я получил такую информацию, которую и довожу до общего сведения:
Dear colleague,
this message is to invite you to submit an abstract to the session
Natural and Anthropogenic Hazards in Karst Areas .
The session (no. NH8.01) is included in the
Natural Hazards Program of the General Assembly
of the European Geosciences Union (EGU), to be
held in Vienna (Austria) from April 13 to 18, 2008.
I am organizing the session along with
Jo De Waele from the University of Bologna,
and
Francisco Gutierrez from the University of Zaragoza.
The Abstract Deadline is January 14, 2008, and
abstracts should be submitted through the EGU website at
<http://meetings.copernicus.org/egu2008/how_to_submit_an_abstract.html>http://meetings.copernicus.org/egu2008/how_to_submit_an_abstract.html
Info on the Natural and Anthropogenic hazards in karst areas session is at:
<http://www.cosis.net/members/meetings/skeleton/session_information.php?p_id=308&s_id=5226>http://www.cosis.net/members/meetings/skeleton/session_information.php?p_id=308&s_id=5226
The website also contains detailed information
about the meeting. More information in
<http://www.copernicus.org/EGU/>http://www.copernicus.org/EGU/.
As last year, at the meeting there will be also
another session devoted to karst, and specifically to Karst Geomorphology
Info on the Surface and subsurface karst geomorphology session is at:
<http://www.cosis.net/members/meetings/skeleton/session_information.php?p_id=304&s_id=5511>http://www.cosis.net/members/meetings/skeleton/session_information.php?p_id=304&s_id=5511
Every year, we publish a selection of the
contribution presented as a Special Issue of an
international journal (in the last years: a
special issue of NHESS: Natural Hazards and Earth
System Sciences; special Publication 279 of the
Geological Society of London; special issue of Engineering Geology, in press).
This year we have the intention to prepare a
special issue on karst geomorphology and hazards
in one of the major peer reviewed
geomorphological or speleological journals,
selecting around 20 of the most representative
papers presented during the sessions.
If you have any questions, please feel free to
contact myself
I look forward to receiving abstracts from you, and to seeing you in Vienna
Please inform other colleagues interested in
karst studies about this session.
Sincerely yours
Mario Parise
